Statik Selektah and Termanology | “STILL” (OFFICIAL VIDEO) + “STILL 1982” ALBUM STREAM

In hopes of bringing back some classic boom-bap vibes for the holidays, DJ Statik Selektah and Termanology return as 1982 for their new video “Still” featuring Kendra Foster.

Shot and directed in Cuba by NyjTheOfficial, Selektah and Term take their talents to Havana and cruise through the sunny city streets. With Term gliding through Statik’s summery production, he makes sure to stump his adversaries with his elite lyricism. “I been fly since I had a Sega/ Your shawty lost, man, I had to save her,” he brags.

For 1982, what originally began as a vacation turned into an impromptu video-shoot for “Still.” “We were in Cuba with a few friends on vacation to do a photo shoot and realized how unique the vibe was and decided to shoot the 1982 single we had done there,” says Selektah. “That turned into us doing a whole album when we got home.”

Termanology echoed his partner’s sentiments. “I figured most people will never get to go to Cuba so we wanted to show them how different it was in the video” he says. “We can’t find any other US hip hop artists that have shot there on that level.”

Their group project Still 1982 drops Friday (Nov. 23). Watch the video for “Still” below.
