N.O.R.E. & PHARRELL WILLIAMS | “UNO MAS” | OFFICIAL VIDEO – WATCH NOW

N.O.R.E. has diversified his brand and repertoire in the 2010s. The Lefrak City, Queens rapper now reaches the masses with his Drink Champs platform alongside DJ EFN and his On The Run Eatin’ food series.

However, the same MC who impressed the Hip-Hop masses alongside partner Capone for C-N-N’s 1997 debut, The War Report, still makes grabbing music too.

For many Heads, the biggest hit in Noreaga’s discography is 1998’s “Superthug.” That Top 40 single was produced by The Neptunes, and thus, created a long-lasting relationship between N.O.R.E. and Pharrell Williams in particular. “Finito,” “Nothin’,” and “The Problem (LAWWWDDD),” are later examples of that 20-year chemistry at work.

Last year released a lyric video for their latest collaboration,”Uno Mas.” In 2018, the duo is returning with the official video for the single, and it’s part purposefully kitschy and conceptual. The Jason Goldwatch-directed visual reworks Robert Palmer 1986 “Addicted To Love” pop culture hallmark.

In the song, N.O.R.E. references how he’s been able to keep it going all this time. “You don’t know who I am?” he raps. “Go ask your mothers / You got O.G.s, go ask your brothers / They gon’ tell you that N.O.R.E. came to play to win / 2018 feels like ’98 again.

The video comes just weeks after the official remix was released featuring Miguel, Wiz Khalifa, and J Alvarez. The song is also just one of many Pharrell has been involved with recently. In late 2017, the legendary producer laid the instrumentals for Migos’ single “Stir Fry” from their latest album Culture II. He also produced N.E.R.D.’s latest album NO ONE EVER REALLY DIES, which arrived in December.
