If people commenting have to gain links then they might want to at the very least show the integrity to write a related and thorough reply. All comment spam does is possibly damage your SEO attempts and creates useless backlinks. The realsafest way to behave is to befriend fellow bloggers who have blogs of similar niche and generate actual targeted traffic by posting a well thought reply. Hopefully more people might read this before replying after me, I will not be holding my breath.

I gotta say, I am more amazed by the _generic commenter_ than by the out and out spammer. Why? you ask, at least the obvious spammer is more open and honest about their spamming! I know who they are. The so called generic commenter is a con man and also a charlatan You can probably tell that I have very strong towards this group of spammers

Why? at least the obvious spammer is completely open and honest with their intentions! We can see who they are. The generic spammer is a liar and a faker! Should people commenting just want to receive links then they should at the very least have the common sense to post a related and readable reply. All comment spam will do is hurt your backlinking attempts and generates useless links.
