MUSIC: LMS - THE WARRIOR

 >> 305 Music Posted 3/26/2013 by crazyhood.

The homie LMS releases a new project titled: 'The Warrior', here's what his camp had to say at press time:

From hard times living in the streets of Dade County, to taking on one of the biggest names in rap music, LMS flows effortlessly from topic to topic, displaying both his skill as a lyricist and as a song-writer on "The Warrior".  From the hard-hitting boom-bap production of "No Jeggings" by Abstract, The dark and sinister atmosphere Red October provides on "Beast", to The Down south bounce produced by M.C./Producer Knowledge Medina on "Nowhere To Run",  The sounds provided on  "The Warrior" showcase LMS's technically sound and impressive rhymes.

MIC RIPPA (R.I.P.)

 >> 305 Music Posted 3/4/2013 by crazyhood.

If your a 305 hip hop connoisseur you should know of or heard by now of the death of Mic Rippa known to a lot of us as just Steve. Steve aka Mic Rippa's contribution to Miami's young but vibrant hip hop scene came in the form of wax releases in the mid 90's produced by the likes of the Beatnuts (youngins google the Beatnuts if you don't know their place in hip hop!), his work with DMC World Champion (and fellow local) DJ Craze and his persistent presence backed by his label Roly Roll Records. The cause of death is not quite clear as of yet but regardless of how he passed away its safe to say Miami hip hop has lost one of its own. Mic Rippa's passing has caused me to analyze the out pour of love and support a lot of people have for this one time Miami shinning star. I take issue with the fact that Miami has had and still has a fledgling local scene that seems to lack a real support base. Why must it take a death for someone to finally receive the praise and support they should of received in life! I hope that people take stock of what can be lost and start to support and enjoy these artist while they are here putting in work. If you have no idea who Mic Rippa is and want to know more about him and the era he comes from check out the following links DJ EFN 'Miami's lost Hip Hop Scene' and Gamertag Radio's Tribute to Mic Rippa. Shout to The305 for providing the hi res image we used above. My thoughts and prayers go out to Steve's family! R.I.P.

SOARSE SPOKEN FEAT. SHOTTIE - PU$$Y & ART (MUSIC VIDEO)

 >> 305 Music Posted 1/30/2013 by crazyhood.

New visuals from the homie Soarse Spoken featuring our homie Shottie and produced by our other homie DJ Sharpsound. Here is what his camp had to say at press time:

"Pu$$y & Art" is the first music video from my most recent project 'Starve The Hunger'. Filmed on location in Brooklyn, NYC. Shot and edited by Sir Juan Herrera. Released January 1st, 2013. This clip was shot entirely with no budget (The most expensive thing besides the video gear were the posters the girl in the video is tearing up and the marker we used to write the letters on the posters) In Brooklyn, except for the live performance shot, filmed in Gallery Bar in Manhattan, during what seemed to be when every storm possible was hitting New York at the same time, roughly around the same time as Sandy hit as well as a couple of snow storms. Needless to say, we were pretty happy to be able to actually get it done.

E.R. (VAGABONDS) - LIVE LIFE (MUSIC VIDEO) / YEAR OF THE VAGABOND (ALBUM)

 >> 305 Music Posted 1/15/2013 by crazyhood.

Our homie E.R. of the Vagabonds is releasing a new project titled 'The Year Of The Vagabond'. Check out the first visuals off the project above and peep the project HERE.

Here is what the Vagabonds camp had to say at press time:

Following up fellow Vagabonds member Baysiqly's solo debut, "Leonidas", E.R. is following up with his own solo debut project, "Year of the Vagabond". Led by the buzz-worthy single, "Live Life", "Year of the Vagabond" is a look into the past year of the Vagabonds rise in South Florida's music scene.

Entirely produced, mixed, and mastered by E.R. himself, "Year of the Vagabond" got it's title from a write up done about E.R. on an established music website labeling 2012 and 2013 as such. The 10 track album goes into the highs and lows of what E.R. calls "having one foot in the street and one foot in the music biz", where although some may recognize him for his music throughout Miami, him and rhyme partner Baysiqly still have to deal with the pressures of your average everyday person.

From the moody "Keep it 100", where E.R. speaks out to those who claim to be closest to him but have never shown any real support for his dreams, to the rags-to-riches anthem track "Winner", to the neighborhood pride of "10th Avenue" where E.R. rhymes about his Little Havana stomping grounds and the specific people that have seen him rise from square one, "Year of the Vagabond" leaves no stone unturned in the past year of E.R.'s life.

Digital copies are available on all digital retailers such as iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and Xbox Live and you can also purchase autographed physical copies of "Year of the Vagabond" at the Vagabonds' upcoming concerts as well as at our store, at VagabondMusicGroup.com.

“No Limits” is the latest offering by emcee/illustrator, SKAM2? SKAM2? puts on one hell of a cadence clinic over an eerie, piano sprinkled composition laced by Grammy winning/multi-platinum producer DJ Infamous (Lil' Wayne, Meek Mill, Fat Joe).

MUSIC: THE WORST RAPPERS ALIVE FEAT. SAHEED & DJ HERON - 96 AC FLOW

 >> 305 Music Posted 11/10/2012 by crazyhood.

The homie Saheed sent over this track to me and I've been playing it all day! Here's the homies had to say at press time:

What do get when you have THE WORST RAPPERS ALIVE (Young McFly & JonTheBarber) , one of the iLLest to do it in MIAMI (SAHEED) , & A WELL-RESPECTED/INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN DJ (DJ HERON) on the same tune? The formula equates to the "96ACflow". This track is filled with IRON MIKE Punches, Wild Mathematics, & Scratches mixed with baking soda. The feeling of lyrical comfort is common amongst all listeners. Young McFly Blesses the production as well as delivering a COLD Blizzard of Bars,  SAHEED controls the beat with multiple weapons of words, JonTheBarber Paints a picture with OG Jargon, & DJ HERON Selects the colossal samples to cut & blend with the magic.
