Most of you should of seen ¡Mayday! as Wayne's band in "On Fire", "Da Da Da" and "Get A Life" video's. Wayne even had ¡Mayday! play at his going away / Super Bowl party but unfortunately ¡Mayday! and Wayne could not further collaborate due to Lil' Wayne's incarceration. In light of Wayne's current release status and new up coming project, Cash Money green lit ¡Mayday! to remix some of the songs from "Rebirth". The remixes will be available on a DJBOOTH sponsored ¡Mayday! mixtape titled "Lords Of The Fly" and will be released Tuesday Sept. 28th. The project will also include tracks and remixes featuring David Banner, N.O.R.E., Cee-Lo, STS and much more.

The following remix of "On Fire" is written and produced (except for Wayne's verses) entirely by ¡Mayday!. Look out for this and other joints available for free ringtones at Myxer and make sure to download the free DJbooth mixtape and pick up ¡Mayday!'s new album "Stuck On An Island"!

I have been going crazy trying to find this version of "Rock Bottom" since the tape recorded from the Saturday Night Funk Box broke on me!!! Never mind what anyone else told you, this is Miami's real Hip Hop history! The first of its kind representing this city via Hip Hop not to be confused with Miami Bass which was reppin heavily at the time but not lyrically, not Hip Hop. Shout to DJ Slice for shooting me all the original versions of this track!

ANJULI STARS - STARVATION VOL. 1 (MIXTAPE)

Sometimes being a DJ and being around the scene for as long as I have you become jaded or even stand off-ish to new artist and music. Seems everyone is the next big thing, everyone is the hottest on the mic or blah blah blah. Either its being bombarded by tweets asking to check out their music or being handed one too many mixtapes and demos when I'm out and about. Being told to check out Anjuli Stars was no different but the difference is I decided to actually give it a listen and I am glad I did. If you frequent this site you should know I am not a fan of modern R&B but I was a fan of classic golden era Hip Hop / R&B ala Mary J Blige, SWV, Soul 4 Real, Jodeci etc. This mixtape took me to that era and gave me that good ol' feeling. Anjuli seems to do it all on this mixtape, rhyming, singing, writing original material, playing music and I wouldnt doubt if she did the graphics! (lol). MUSIC: BOODAH - LOOK UP AT THE JETS

The reason why this post is labeled 305 related is because this is the pre-teen son of Miami's own Society! Society best known for his Miami Hip Hop anthem "Yes-N-Deed" off of Luke records. Yes-N-Deed was one of the first (if not the first) national representation of Miami's early 90's Hip Hop scene. It was the song to showcase Miami's music talent aside from the already famous Miami-Bass music. Society was a New York transplant but non the less repped the bottom of the map to the fullest! And as the saying goes; The apple doesn't fall far from the tree therefor we should all keep a close eye on his son who goes by the name Boodah. Watch out Diggy Simmons!

Finally we got the official music video for "Hood Pride" by our brotha's Capone-n-Noreaga. The song features Faith Evans but unfortunately for reasons which I have the inside scoop on, she could not make the video. Don't try and dig cuz it aint no drama behind her not being in the video just the business politics like usual. Shout to Joell Ortiz and my entire Thugged out family who are in the video. The video was directed by Rik Cordero. Shout to 57thave for this one!
